NYE Make-Up... 3 Easy Looks!
Getting your party make-up right can often be daunting…it’s finding the right balance between beauty and glamour…so, we have come up with 3 easy make-up looks to ensure you turn heads this Hogmany!!
SMOKES
The smokey eye is one look we get asked to create time and time again. It’s a classic way to add drama and it suits all eye shapes and ages.
However, it doesn’t always have to be black, there are hundreds of variations of this eye.
This is a softer sultry take on it but feel free to experiment with colour, and texture - Danielle looks beautiful…as always!
HOW TO CREATE THIS LOOK
1. Use and eye shadow base in a soft mid/dark golden brown like Kiko 8hrs Eyeshadow and No 06 stick orb Bette by Carlotte Tilbury.
Apply all over the lid and lower lash line with a flat eyeshadow brush; My Kit Co 0.2…Blend with a fluff brush; My Kit Co 1.12.
2. Using the same brush to blend a medium toned matt shadow like MAC Bamboo or Malt into your socket line and over the lower lashes. This will soften the look and add depth. Matt textured shadows will help you achieve this.
3. And a set of your favorite lashes we have Eldora and Tattie Lashes in the available in the studio.
Top Tip:
Using a My Kit Co 1.12 blending brush will help you achieve a
flawless professional finish.
BRIGHT LIPS
A quick way to add glamour is to apply a bright, bold lip. It’s my go to look when I’m short on time.
Paired with your favourite false lashes and you are good to go.
Makeup doesn’t have to be complicated!
Top Tip: Those with blue eyes, stick to orange reds or coral pinks - like NYX MAC Soft Matt Lip Cream in Morocco.
Those with brown eyes, your blue reds and pinks are your friends - try MAC All Fired Up.
Those with green eyes, deeper burgundy and plums are best for you - Charlotte Tilbury Shanghai Nights is gorgeous.
GLITTER
We all love a bit of glitter at this time of year (Check out the look I created at out recent Christmas Masterclass event here in the studio…it’s in our blog) and glitter continues to be a huge makeup trend backstage.
It is easy to get carried away with the sparkle though so why not press a sparkle over the smokey eye look above . We love MAC Reflex in Gold or Sample Beauty Salma Pigment.
Top tip:
Press on your favorite glitter with the MyKitCo 1.23 brush to prevent fallout, if a little glitter strays use some sellotape to gently remove it.
